Match report First game back in the second division after 4 years out was met with some usual british weather onditions that got considerably worse during the day. Pucklechurch won the toss and decided to to insert Lympsham to see if we could get some use out of the helpful overhead conditions, and so it proved with a couple of early breakthroughs only for Lympshams captain, Dave Luff and M Tucker to put on a third wicket stand of 80 leaving them 105-3. From then we bowled OK and took wickets at regular intervals but giving them too many "four balls". Two impressive performances from debutant Matt with 3-61 and Andy "No Ass" with 4-63. Chasing a decent target of 204 we got off to great start with Steve Toghill(48) and Frank(37) (combined opening age of 108) giving us an opening stand of 96, unfortunately no other batsmen could live up to their example and with some very poor shot selection we lost the remainder of our wickets for only 73 runs. In conclusion, in a game that we were in total control of for a big part of the game we let ourselves down massively and there will need to be marked improvements from nearly everybody for next week and then continue for the rest of the season.
