Match report What happened 2 the rain.... Beautiful sunny day but bad toss 2 lose and we got put into bat and poor start by skip run out fuss 1st over without him facing a ball (sorry m8)Sadly batting got worse amd wickets kept falling, Mike unlucky caught by a brillant 1 handed catch. Lee made batting look easy and got us out of big trouble and at 1 point looked like we would not get 100 on the board !! Lee ended up 122no and had superb support from No.11 Robbie lad who put on 78 with the scouse express hitting a good 14 and supporting role 4 Lee. With 164 on the board skip was happy but know that would b hard 2 defend on are wicket but the bowlers steamed in and are fielding was much better this week and dispite a good start from them putting on 43 the scouse express got the breakthrough and then we kept collecting wickets at reg intervals with lewis bowling there danger man and good figures again.we got them to 116 for 4 then Dan H took a wicket quickly folled by 2 in 2 balls for r spin master Dan P which brought there skip 2 the crease and we looking like we could win the game. Dan P nearly had a hat trick which could of won us the game with a sharp catch hit with power put down by an H but it was a great stop and sadly there skip hit 27 b4 being bowled By Gordan! and this took the game away from us plus a strange very defensive batsman who blocked and looked like could not bat then hit two fours at the end! All in all 2 lose by 2 wickets against a good side who are top the league was a good effort lads its just r batting we need 2 work on ...... bring on the framp next week.....And 2day tactical lesson win the toss and field 1st ! Dont 4get next week beer festival and chef going 2 b 40so best wish him a happy birthday 4 then
