Hi,
Normally at this time of the year I would be writing to you asking for your help on the
pitch and your attendance at a signing-on meeting……… but not this year.
This year, the club-house is closed and all cricket related activities are suspended
until further notice. But what does that really mean? I’m receiving regular emails
from both the ECB and the GCB giving us guidance and advice as to the future of
this year’s cricket season. The reality is that they don’t know any more than I do,
the professional game is looking at the end of May and it seems highly unlikely that
we will be thinking about starting until June at the earliest.
Whilst we all love our sport, the priority is for you and your family to stay safe and
healthy and, hopefully, we will get through this as soon as possible.
